21st Forum of European Cinema ORLEN CINERGIA will begin on November 25th and will last until December 2nd. During this year's edition viewers will have the chance to see films in various sections of the festival. We’ll invite two competitions related to debuts and career's second films, sections including most interesting new European productions, for the first time - section dedicated for kids and also exclusive screenings combined with meetings and discussion panels. Like every year we will focus on classics and at the same time we will present shorts by young Polish artists inspired by masters of cinematography.
This year we'll focus on events that will inspire many film themed discourses. It is most essential for us to create cinematographic bonds between viewers and creators, bonds that would go beyond cinema and reach the level of real human experience. We wish this festival will become common platform for the authors and their audience.
- We want to continue the great tradition of introducing the most valuable Polish and European films. Pictures that inspire discussions, cause emotions and unite viewers in common experience. - says Anna Serdiukow, Artistic Director of Cinergia.
Krzysztof Spór, new Program Director, responsible for Polish Debuts Competition: - I can see significant changes transforming Polish cinematography, which are really constant and reinforcing. This is much the credit of debuting directors who seek their own character, their own unique film code, reach beyond "here and now". They want to make movies for the universal and multicultural audience.
For the screenings we welcome to Charlie (Piotrkowska St. 203/205) and Helios Sukcesja (Al. Politechniki 1) cinemas. What else can you expect from 21st Forum of European Cinema ORLEN CINERGIA? More news soon! We'll see you in the movies!
