The film is set on Walpurgis night, 30 April 1969, in a Swiss opera, just after the performance of Turandot by Giacomo Puccini. When the great opera diva, Nora Sedler, leaves the stage, a modest journalist, Robert is waiting for her at the door of her dressing room. He has an appointment to interview the artist. The actress from the very beginning is playing an elaborate game with him and erotic tension hangs in the air.
